Publishing Evaluation
Whether preparing to query an agent or submit to a publisher, the publishing evaluation can help the author determine the strengths and weaknesses of their query packet: query letter, manuscript sample, and synopsis.
The service will provide a clear roadmap for the author regarding their next steps.

Prepare Query Packet
When querying an agent or publishing, building a packet consisting of a query letter, synopsis, manuscript sample, and perhaps other items, should be the top priority. If the packet is not ready for evaluation, we will help prepare one.

Manuscript Pages Evaluation
While providing edits on the synopsis and query letter, an evaluation of the manuscript pages will be provided to give an initial response on the story and writing that will be used in the query.

Evaluation Document
Like with the developmental edit, an evaluation document will be prepared to give specific instruction and guidance for the author.

Coaching Call
A coaching call will come at the end to ensure the author full understands the next steps, and to reflect and analyze the editor feedback. The author can then go about making changes prior to their next query.

We prefer you to upload your full manuscript so we can use our expertise to assess the service(s) needed. Shorter samples are also accepted.
