Kerry Stapley
Associate Editor
Kerry is an award-winning writer, editor, and book coach with eight years’ experience at
traditional and hybrid publishers.
She graduated summa cum Laude in English from the University of Minnesota,Twin Cities and
was nominated by faculty for the John E. Turner Award for Outstanding Theses. She has studied
storytelling under Charles Baxter (finalist, National Book Award) and Tom Jenks (senior editor,
Scribner; cofounder of Narrative Magazine), and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She is currently a
Lighthouse Writer’s Workshop Book Project fellow 2023-2025.
Kerry’s creative nonfiction has been published in literary journals and anthologies and has been
honored with a grant from Mary Kole’s Good Story Company. She has worked with New York
Times bestselling authors and first-time writers and has helped numerous authors to become
agented and published.
Kerry lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband and their ever-expanding collections of plants,
books, and guitars.
